Energize, Equip and Restore

Philadelphia, PA - Four years ago, a vision was cast to hold a worship summit on the East Coast to energize, equip and restore those who are involved in every aspect of the worship experience. This was the result of many conversations with worship leaders of churches from various denominations and sizes ranging from small new church plants to the large established churches. Concerns raised in those conversations include: The people leading worship: have lost interest, are totally burned out or ready to quit; continually use the same songs over and over and over; have lost the vision of Biblical worship; have become stagnant in their musicality; are not aware of new tools available for their use, are out there all by themselves; and, the most startling, "I became a Christian two weeks ago, I am a musician, last week I was recruited to lead worship, and, I start on Sunday, what do I do?"

Unlike other worship conferences or shorter events, this four-night, three-day worship summit is designed to provide interactive and hands on training where ever we can. Our focus is on worship. Every general session will be a worship service. Our speakers will provide Biblical messages that will feed your soul. We are programming the workshops with your situations in mind. Sponsors and facilitators have listened to your questions and concerns. We are definitely not staying in the box. The East Coast Worship Summit will provide solutions for your concerns as well as in-depth training for every member of your worship team.

Energize

You will have a fantastic opportunity to be challenged and recharged by some of today's great speakers, worship leaders, musicians and technicians from around the country. It will be almost impossible to leave the summit without learning new ways to enhance your ministries back home. Fun will be had fellowshipping and working together with other leaders. You will enhance your knowledge and learn new methods for your ministry! You will laugh, you will be touched, you will be challenged and be certain that no matter what happens the Lord will get the focus during the entire summit.

Teachers will include Michael Card, Rick Marshal from the (BGA), and Ross Parsely just to name a few. Musicians and song writers who are slated to appear: Steve Fee, Paul Baloche, Brenton Brown, Laura Story, Vicki Beeching, Mark Roach, Matt Goss and more! Workshops will include teachers from Media Shout, 1Christian.Net, EMI/Worship Together, Shure, Martin Lighting, Baden Guitars, Same Page, Liberty University, and so many more.

Equipping

As we go through the week, your participation will be essential to your learning experience. With actual hands on training in classes, you will have the opportunity to touch and feel today's latest technology. Teachers from today's top resources will come together to allow you to experience the material first hand, in live settings. Technicians will be able to attend classes in lighting, sound and video. There will be main stage sound checks and hands-on participation in the Visual Media Pavilion. Choir training classes and vocal training will be taught by some of the best university professors and vocal teachers. Musicians will get incredible training from some of the nation's best. Drumming workshops taught by Chester Thompson, drummer with Phil Collins and Genesis. Guitar classes taught by one of today's most up and coming designers and builders of Acoustic guitars, TJ Baden. Jonathan Dubose Jr., lead guitarist for Harry Connick Jr., and other well known artists, will be teaching improv guitar playing and technique. These are just the tip of the iceberg! With over 90 in-depth classes exploring all aspects of the worship service, you will be stretched. Songwriters are encouraged to bring their best worship song to the Summit! Be a part of the first East Coast Songwriters Breakout. Have some of today's leading Songwriters, Collaborators, Dove Award Winners, Grammy Winners and national distributors, listen, critique and give pointers, first hand, on your songs. The top songs submitted will be placed on the East Coast Worship Summit's site for download and available on 1Christian.net for download by churches on its on-line network. The worship song, determined by the panel to be the best from all songs submitted to the Songwriters Breakout, will be shared on the closing night of the conference with us all! Restore

What would a summit be without a time for the leaders to gather to exchange ideas, suggestions and concerns? Everyone will be encouraged to come together in small groups in their disciplines to debrief, establish mentor relationships, and networking moments. As we build each other up we to will be strengthened. Then, when we are "sent out" to our homes, the mentoring and networking will continue.
